ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Brooklyn-born Chuck Mansfield is a 1962 alumnus of Chaminade High School (Mineola, N.Y.). In 1966, he graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with an A.B. (Sociology) and was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. That November he graduated from The Basic School in Quantico, Va. Deployed to Vietnam in 1968, he served as a platoon commander.
Later he received an M.B.A. (Finance) from New York University. Throughout his career, he has lived and/or worked in Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Colombia, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Russia, Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, Spain and Switzerland. A former director/ trustee of the mutual funds of Federated Hermes, Inc., a $624-billion Pittsburghbased complex listed on the New York Stock Exchange, he served from 1999 through 2020, chaired the board’s audit committee for four years and currently serves as a director emeritus.
