Cruzsilla’s faith has always been vital to her. Like many other Christians, she does her best to keep up with her biblical studies by reflecting on God’s word and her pastor’s preaching. During graduate school, she realized her secular studies were consuming her to the point that sermons or readings were not being retained. Determined not to let her spiritual life fall by the wayside. She began taking notes on her smartphone but quickly realized it didn’t work. She never returned to her notes or would forget to check them because social media was an easy distraction. She became inspired as she noticed other church members writing notes on scrap paper or carrying large notebooks and journals to each service. She immediately became inspired to create a journal to support her spiritual walk and help her revisit her notes. Thus, Sunday Morning Notes was designed.
