THE AUTHORS
Dr. Thurman Bruce Everett is the Pastor of Bryant Swamp Baptist Church in Bladenboro, N.C., and former Lumber River Baptist Association moderator. He is an active member of the General Baptist Convention of N.C. Dr. Everett is a retired Master Sergeant with twenty-plus years of service who supported National Defense interests in the specialty of Logistics, Petroleum Quality Assurance, & Heavy Vehicle Operations with deployments to Vietnam & Thailand.
Dr. Everett is a devoted husband to Wilhelmenia and a dedicated father to Yvonne Everett Holcomb, with multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In Dr. Everett’s youth, he graduated from Lincoln High School in Leland, N.C. Upon graduation, he played in the American Negro League on two teams: Philadelphia Stars and Champagne Eagles, before entering his Military call of duty.
Dr. Everett is a Cathedral Bible College of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina graduate, receiving a Doctor of Theology, Doctor of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Bachelor of Theology Degree and further, receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Tri-County Bible College and Seminary of Maxton, North Carolina. He also has an Associate of Arts Degree from Saint Leo College of Saint Leo, Florida. Subsequently, he pursued religious studies at Shaw University in Cape Fear, Wilmington, North Carolina.
In conjunction with Dr. Everett’s ministry, in the past, he managed housing development & rehabilitation efforts in the Wilmington, N.C. area, with oversight of multi-million-dollar projects. The main passion of Dr. Everett is the transformation of lives that serve God’s purpose through his son, Jesus Christ. Hence, the need to cultivate future Christians permeated throughout his multiple sermons that galvanized the use of Proverbs in mentoring future leaders with God-like thinking.
Dr. Thomas J. Faulk, Jr. is a Licensed Minister and Cybersecurity/Information Technology expert. He is an active mentor in two school districts in Georgia. Also, serving as the Program Director of S.T.E.E.L. Mentoring based in Douglasville, GA. Dr. Faulk is a retired Lt. Colonel from the USAF/ Air National Guard with 27 years of service; where he started as an Information Manager, NCO-Paralegal working in the Judge Advocate General’s Office, then receiving his commission in 2001 serving as operations officer, and retiring as a planning and programming officer. He also has several active-duty deployments to hostile fire zones in support of Operations: Northern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, Coronet Oak, Enduring Freedom & New Dawn.
Dr. Faulk is a devoted husband to Carolyn and a dedicated father to Shanikqua, Kelvin, Quinten, Thomas III, & Godson – Aiden and multiple grandchildren. Dr. Faulk’s upbringing he played various sports from football, basketball, soccer, and track & field where he graduated from North Babylon Senior High School.
Dr. Faulk has multiple degrees in various disciplines where he received his Doctor of Information Technology from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN, Master of Arts in Political Science from Long Island University, Brookville, NY, Bachelor of Art in Sociology from SUNY Old Westbury, NY and Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from SUNY Farmingdale State College, NY. He also holds an A.B.A approved paralegal certificate from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY.
Dr. Faulk is a mentee of Dr. Everett and the Author of “Mentoring for Future Kings & Queens,” published in 2017. He strongly advocates for STEM programs and develops our youth with a strong vision of success and accomplishing all things per Philippians (KJV) 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
