Originally inspired when a baby shower invitation requested children’s books in lieu of cards, Jodi Sue Yocum decided to create rather than purchase a children’s book for her niece, Journey. While writing is one of Jodi’s favorite pastimes, she makes her living as a healthcare worker, serving populations from school-aged children through elderly adults in the field of occupational therapy.
Journey to the Son is a reflection of Jodi’s own small town experience with references to family as well as the town itself. Jodi grew up and currently resides in a small rural community in the northwest corner of Missouri with family members in the occupations of farming, seed sales, and fertilizer application.
The book’s contents reflect Jodi’s own experience, deep-seated faith, and her desire to share the light that can be found in Jesus alone with children everywhere.
