ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Christina Theophilos M.Ed. is a university lecturer, yoga therapist, meditation instructor, and educational consultant. She has done extensive research in behavioral psychology and contributed to the field of safe sexual education, anti-bullying, and anti-discrimination by producing teacher’s manuals, videos, and other educational resources. After having witnessed numerous cases of abuse and as target of cyberbullying, she decided to devote herself to bringing peace and harmony across the globe through educational trainings and materials. Christina was drawn to South Korea, where she believed that her services were needed most, since South Korea has some of the highest numbers of suicide rates in the world, which lead to the creation of The Glory of Education.

She is recognized for her empowering teachers training and student presentations across Canada and East Asia based on the principles of Jane Elliott, the renowned anti-discrimination educator from the notorious “Blue-Eyed Brown-Eyed Exercise”. After having reached thousands in her efforts to reduce the number of deaths caused by suicide, teen pregnancies, and other at-risk youth behaviors, she now extends her solution-based strategies and classroom-based activities to the frontline of schools and communities. She is currently a lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke, where she provides teachers with crisis management, stress management, and practical intervention strategies.

Christina often incorporates relaxation and meditation practices to her sessions, which she believes is the foundation for building a greater sense of peace, appreciation, and acceptance of self and others. She believes that education can change the world, if we unanimously cultivate moments of truth, hence realizing the glory of education.
