Arlita Carter, originally from Chicago, Illinois, currently resides in Loganville, Georgia. She moved there in 2014 after the sudden death of her husband of 40 years. After settling in Georgia, she wrote Dark to Light, Living Life after Death. It is her very personal account of that devastating loss, and her subsequent recovery. In 2022, the book was nominated and won a Distinguished Authors Guild Award.
Arlita knows all too well the pain and grief of loss. She also knows about faith, the power of prayer and God’s absolute ability to bless you with a new beginning.
