Brenda Stealey is the owner and operator of two artistic companies. One is Artistry and Ink, a calligraphy and art specialty company, and the other is Stealey Mountain Artisans, a collection of area artisans with no one specialty, as a standout, but many quality artists all under one banner.
Having worked in Washington, D.C. for over 30 years, and having a professional career, she was more than excited to finally retire. It was finally her time to enjoy herself to the fullest and create art and crafts to her heart’s desire. Writing this book has been a lifelong dream of her, just now being realized. It is true, that good things come to those who wait.
Brenda’s children and grandchildren have been responsible for keeping her young at heart and keeping her young thoughts. She has always had a ‘silly’ side, and been a bit zany, and Wally certainly has come from that side of her personality. He may just be a character in a book, but to her, Wally is the embodiment of her entire world of friends and family.
