My name is James Jamison; I am 74 years old. Born in South Carolina and honorably discharged in November 1970 from the Air Force. I started writing poetry in New York City in 1972 as a security guard at NYU. I never really liked writing when I was in high school.
Since I became interested in writing, I wanted to learn the formal structure of writing. I attended the City College of New York in 1973 and majored in Theater. I took up a year of Playwright and Acting and Directing. However, my passion was writing.
I fell in love with writing, and I started writing a collection of poetry and doing short stories. I have two more books I would like to publish. My prize book is “Rachel,” published by Author House on 08/29/2007. “Rachel” is a book everyone loves because it relates to everyday people.
