About The Author

Carol L. Kugler began writing in fifth grade. She added music and lyrics to her writing as a teenager. A decision to become an English professor was revised when she discovered creative writing, rather than facts, was her forte. Although music became a focus in her life, she kept pen and paper handy and wrote whatever struck her or was needed at the time. Not until the year 2000, however did Kugler decide to become serious about her talent. A single idea blossomed into a set of five continuous tales, and after that, it was one short story or poem after another. After retiring and moving to Arizona, she began writing songs for churches and spiritual development groups, and became a member of the Bullhead City River Writers. Then words really began to flow, in story form, poems, music lyrics and music itself.

Her other talents include photography; playing, and teaching music; jewelry making; book editing; and cooking. Kugler recently moved to Las Vegas, and is working on expanding “The Rescue Place” into a teaching series.
