Santiago taught World History, Anthropology, coached Basketball, Water Polo, and the Academic Decathlon teams for forty years. &#8220;I went to school and not to work.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Searching the world on his summer holidays and with two years of sabbatical, he took a boat, train, buses, and an old VW van from Cairo to Cape Town, Inspired by Africa, he has visited that continent twenty-three times.
