God Finds Miguel is a Christian children’s fiction book about a boy who learns that God is present in everyday life, even when he cannot see Him.
Miguel is a mischievous young boy who has been getting into trouble at school. After being sent to the principal’s office multiple times, his mother reminds him that Jesus is always with him, watching over him and guiding him. Miguel dismisses the idea, believing God has more important things to do than pay attention to him.
As the day unfolds, Miguel encounters several situations that reveal his selfishness, impatience, and negative attitude:
• He criticizes a neighborhood park and the people around him.
• He becomes frustrated with an elderly woman and a homeless man who delay his walk to school.
• He argues with his teacher when receiving a poor grade.
• He reluctantly sacrifices something he wants so his friend can have lunch.
• He judges volunteers and guests at a soup kitchen.
That night, convinced God was nowhere to be found during his difficult day, Miguel falls asleep and experiences a powerful vision.
