The Reverent Warrior

From battlefield grit, to eternal purpose

Retired Lt. Col. Eric Harrelson takes readers on a transformative journey from the battlefields of Iraq to the frontlines of faith in this inspiring memoir.

This is a story of a reluctant servant gradually recognizing God’s refining hand through decades of military service.

The author reveals how God relentlessly pursues and refines us for His purpose, even when we’re too stubborn to see it. Through harrowing combat, struggles with addiction, guilt, pride, and fear, God was preparing him for a greater mission all along.

As you read, you’ll learn how to:
• recognize God’s refining work during life’s most painful moments,
• grasp the critical difference between grudging obedience and joyful submission,
• find peace even when life takes unexpected turns.

By trusting in His protection even as bullets were flying, the author survived the unthinkable. Ultimately, he surrendered his own ambitions to embrace a call he never foresaw hearing.

If you’re questioning your purpose, wrestling with failure, or feeling spiritually stuck, the author’s journey demonstrates that God never wastes our struggles.
