A Memoir of My Journey from the Unknown to Hope
Born into abject poverty, brokenness, and nothingness, such that a square meal was not even guaranteed and access to formal education was only by grace and chance, those young Ugochi relied on provided little, if any, help or guidance. Despite these barriers, she knew her capabilities and recognized life’s possibilities. There was no fear of failing, she was already at the bottom. Up was her only option. With courage, determination, and a strong faith in God, she climbed the path to the future that was in her hands.
People are nothing other than what they make of themselves. Not all start life’s journey with silver spoons in their mouths. Birthright only provides the freedom and responsibility for choices and decisions, the outcomes of which shape one’s development.
Echoes of My Life, Ugochi’s story of hopes and impediments saw her existence in her lens, and hence, courage and determination became her shield and anchor. Her loins she girded, fresh courage took, and God never forsake.
Ugochi “made it,” and this book is the inspirational recollection of her life and journey of hope.
