Mortals and rulers have brought sects to religions, adding new books and new laws.<\/p>\n<p>The verdict from worshippers of different faiths is clear: If you do not do this, you are not a good Muslim; if you do not do that, you are not a good Christian; if you do not keep your hair like this or dress like this, you are not a good Jew. The sermons keep coming, making it difficult to keep up with religion.<\/p>\n<p>The basics\u2014being a good person or being a caring and giving person\u2014are often no longer necessary to belong to a religion.
