Life is a journey; sometimes you will conquer the mountains of difficulties. But other times you are made to walk through the valley of uncertainty. Sometimes life has some unexpected turns called disappointments or unfulfilled expectations that could bring you to the valley of despondency, where threatening situations cross your path and fear grips your heart. What do you do? “Draw near to God. Acknowledge him and he will direct your path.’’ We do this by prayer. We must come before him believing in prayer telling him all that is in our hearts. As we approach him, we will find that he will draw near to us, though we think he would be far from us because of our carnality and worldliness. When we draw near to him, he forgives us and restores us. Knowing this, that our sovereign Lord is the source of our hope and help.
